My interest in photography began in childhood, accompanying my father, an enthusiastic amateur photographer, to camera club outings and developing labs in California. Sometimes I would serve as his muse. My mother later reintroduced that curiosity to me living in Oklahoma City by giving me my first camera as a high-school graduation gift. These photographs reflect a lifelong practice of observation, documenting everyday social life through a sociological lens.
