“Japanese Festival” Missouri Botanical Garden

My wife and daughter served as recent volunteers at the “Japanese Festival” this past weekend, which gave me plenty of photo opportunities.

I took these with an iPhone 11. The only reason I seem to pull out my Canon anymore is for filming. And, that is only because of the conversion issues with iPhone video files.

I use the photo editing app Snapseed to make all my edits.

The garden is a jewel within the city and is well maintained. It is presently undergoing some renovations that will make this place even more enjoyable to walk through.

Because of the theme of the festival many made a connection to Anime culture, so there was a lot of cosplay going on. What was especially cool was the diversity of races and ethnicities represented at the festival in their shared love of Japanese cultural production. You would never guess the divisional tensions that undercurrent this metropolitan area, watching this gathering.

As you might note from above, there are a few water features spread throughout the garden as well.

I tripled my step output for the day and this was my closing shot of the evening.
