As someone who grew up and went to school in Oklahoma from age 9 to 25, the data hits close to home. I know firsthand how structural inequality can quietly shape the lives and futures of kids in pursuit of the American Dream.

I note how lack of opportunity and connection to the broader society can become a generational trap that can’t be fixed through individual effort alone.
