Baseball in St. Louis #Baseballphotography #stlouiscardinals #urbanphotography

I love baseball! Not in the fanatic sense, but more of a purist love for the game. Baseball for me is like a comfortable blanket. I fell in love with it when I was nine years old and have never let go. The game has pissed me off a time or two, but I keep coming back.

I have had two favorite teams during that time. I was originally a Dodgers fan until my 30s, but I eventually moved to St. Louis and then Cardinals culture took hold. I don’t track other players, teams, or other divisional standings like I used to when I was a young man. Now, I am content just following the shenanigans of one organization. They have consistently put out a competitive product, why would I be interested in any other.

In the time I have lived here I have gotten to watch 4 pennant winners and 2 World Championship teams. We were able to catch our first game of the season, a win over the Pirates. A beautiful spring day for a game brings beauty to all the surroundings. And my daughter sang during the seventh inning stretch. Baseball my friends is a beautiful meandering diversion, nothing flashy, but always comfortable.
